MEN ARE GROSS, PERIOD

Working in my environment puts me in contact with LOTS of different people. That includes nasty old men that like to flirt with you. I honestly want to gag in these situations but I restrain myself every time.

I am mentioning this because yesterday I had a creepster moment. An older man in like his 50's took it way too far...To start off it was a normal day at work though. I had just started my shift when I got the phone call that ruined mah day I sware. It was this guy that had been up to my store before maybe once or twice as someone passing through between dallas and houston. How I know this much is because he emphasized it greatly the times he came by. He would get a barbeque sandwich and sit at the tables at my store and chit chat when I would be at my register. I took it as nothing because plenty of people chit chat like that with me all the time. Well the phone call was out of the blue and unexpected.

He asked about the weather here and if anyone had roof damage to their houses because he happened to be a roof repair person and was looking for work. Of course I didn't know. I never ask anybody anything unless I know em personally so I told him no. He then decided to start a convo about the tornados and I happened to have customers so I was looking for a chance to hang up. That's when he randomly asked if I wanted to go out???!!!!

"NO NO NO, ten times no, what the hell is he thinking?" were my thoughts! I told him no flat out like I tell every man that comes in my store asking that question. I am engaged hellooo. And when I mentioned that bit of information, the guy on the phone's response was "Well you want to have a little fun before you get married?" I have to say that is when it got awkward and I had the urge to just hang up. But as always I didn't. I never hang up on people, this is why I still say bye before I hang up from anybody.

That phone call ended quickly after that though. My coworker was still here and asked what it was all about when I hung up finally. I told him and he mentioned that somebody had been trying to get a hold of me for a while now but I was always off. How freaking creepy is that. This strange man that I don't know the name of, looked up the number to this place just to call me. I told Kourtney that I'm just gonna have to stop being so nice and smiley all the time. I'm not into older men, actually I am not into anybody but jer so the peeps can just back off.

Oh the life of being a girl. Blah!

What is Love, baby don't hurt me..

I actually just had that song in my head so I wrote it as mah title. Lol I haven't been on in so long so I need to give you the low down on everything that has been going on.

So I am back in school. I know that sounds repeated but I had a week vacation just last week and it was heavenly I must say. Not worrying about assignments and tests and grades blah! Anywho I am back to the grind and not to excited about it but it's one step closer to being done.

I am officially 21 as of April 19 :D. I have only had 2 drinks since mah big day and I am not mad about it at all. My first "legal" drink (lol) was a Bikini Martini and it was horrible lol. I got it at the Cheescake Factory on the weekend after mah birthday with mah girlfriends and my soon-to-be sister in law. Love the cheesecake factory by the way. I think it is my new favorite fancy restaurant. Well to me it is fancy. One thing that makes it fancy are those prices lol. Whoa is all I have to say about those. Definitely a place for special occasions ha.

I officially picked out my wedding dress!!!! And in the excitement of actually having pics I will resist the urge to spoil the surprise lol. I have pics up on facebook of ones I tried on. And mind you it took 3 hours to find perfection. The dress I got was picked because the "girlies" said I smiled and glowed way more in that one than I did in any other one I tried on. And I won't lie I did. I love it and it is going to make the big day even more perfect.

I Wear My Sunglasses At Night

All you hear out of me right now is coughing and blowing of the nose. It's a horrible day in the life of Karla..actually yesterday was worse but I survived thank goodness!

Yesterday was the first time I have ever called in to work without someone switching days with me. If you know me, you know that I have never call in for anything. Well I used to when I worked at McDonalds, but who wouldn't call in if you worked there lol. Anywho, I missed a day at work to be glued to the bed all day suffering the worst stuffy nose and dizzyness I have had in forever. I hardly get sick, so it hit me pretty hard. I feel like I lost a whole day...like April 6th didn't exist or something.

Well I am at work now wishing I was still in the bed. I'm still sick, just not deathly ill like yesterday. My motivation is knowing I need money for my wedding dress in a couple of weeks. Can't get paid if I don't work right??? lol.

On a happier, more surprising note, Jer has gotten me a present! This is huge because he doesn't really get presents for people including the love of his life (me!) Another reason why it's a big deal is because it's from Kay's so it has to be extra special and extra pretty lol. I, of course won't know what it is until my 21st birthday which is 12 days away woo! He is making my anticipation to see it high, because he has taken a pic of it on his phone and has shown everyone and their mother what my surprise is..how nice of him right? O well I am too excited nevertheless.

I gotta go blow mah nose again, I will catch ya on tha flip side!

Thoughts! (this could be scary lol)

This chick has alot on her mind at the moment..like there is definitely a thought overload going on in mah noggin.

It was barely a week ago that a dat was set for what is going to be the most amazing day of my life. It happened so fast too because we agreed on a month with the opinion of the bestie and Bam! The perfect date was set: October 8, 2011

Why is it so perfect? Because Fran's birthday is the day after so it would be like a birthday gift of her son getting married.How sweet! Lol And it is seven months away which gives PLENTY of time to prepare.

My wedding is on my mind pretty much the majority of my days now. I try not to bring it up all the time which is proving to be a challenge. I mean who wants to hear about wedding plans twenty four seven? But there is sooo much to think about:
Dresses

Cake

Decorations

Guest Lists

Invitations

Do I really need to give the whole list? Lol. Me and my maid of honor and mother-in-law to be have been knocking through the list since the day we chose a date! At the moment I have been obsessing over the smallest detail. The song I'm going to have my first dance to. It has to be perfect I sware!

Another thought flying through my brain is baby related stuff like clothes and toys and when they grow in teeth. I know that sounds extra random but it seems like everybody has a baby these days. I do want one, but I'm not saying I want one right now! (I have a wedding to stay skinny for helloo). But all this baby stuff makes me antsy to have one lol. They are too cute and yes I know they are tons of work but it would be well worth it to have a bundle of joy of my own. And I will. Period....after I get married lol.

I really don't know why I am thinking of this but are oreo's really milk's favorite cookie? Lol I was gonna ask that question on facebook and see what kind of response I would get. I saw it on the wrapper of the little oreo's and until today I had no idea that was their slogan. Ha, I really can't think of a better cookie to put in my milk! I heart oreo's, especially split apart so I can get at the icing before dunking it. Been doing that since I was a tod! Cuteness.

Anywho I'm going to try and focus on studying rather than the wedding and see how far that gets me lol. Chao for now homies :)

RUDENESS!

I officially feel like speaking up on what ticks me off when I am on the clock at my not-so-quiet little gas station...

1.people that talk on the phone while they are checking out! NO! Why would you do this. You know you want to know how much I am robbing you for your items sir/maam. Get off tha damn phone so I can tell you. Better yet just give me your attention for 2 secs so we can finish this transaction and get on with our lives!

2. Peeps that ask for cigarettes and then point out where they are..what they look like..STOP! I have worked here for I don't know how long! I think I would have the hang of my own cigarettes by now....I know that is a really small thing to get pissy about but this man was pointing hardcore at the marlboro's he wanted that were behind me and was surprised when I pulled from overhead where the rest of the cancer sticks were. Ha I win!

3. People that complain about the price of something that is different in another city...really!? If its so bad why are you buying it. In fact, if you don't like our price, go to that place you mentioned and buy your stuff there. I can't change the prices..I myself don't like the high prices either but please tell me what complaining about them is going to do.

...look at me rant on and on. Oh there is more lol.

4.The people with wild children that seem to get away with anything by the way they throw my merchandise on the ground and leave it there without a word from the parental. As the saying goes "control your freaking young!"

I think thats all the pointless rambling your going to get out of me. I know it's' been a while since I been on but skool has been steadily kicking my ass so yea...

I Think I Can Feel the Sun

Finally, my favorite season is about to be here, after several weeks of anticipation, everyone make way for spring. I dont only like it because my birthday is during this wonderful season but also because after all of the bitter coldness its like a long waited relief. The breeze..the sun on the face..all that jive lol.

I can finally put away the jackets and other things your never sure if u should wear due to this damn unpredictable Texas weather. Its like by the end of winter, mother nature gets confused and doesnt know whether to start warming up or stay cool and by the end of the day it has probably rained at least once. Just an FYI I am so sure this isnt the best the best time to visit dear old texas if you are from out of state. I'm just tryin to help you guys out lol.

Here lately I have been puttin in extra hours at mah gas station and studying to the max aand trying to fit in time wit tha ladies and my hunny. Having a job, school, and a social life is too much work I sware lol. And with all this warm weather I am hoping to soon be able to have my normal 40 hour weeks back so I can bask in warm afternoons with either tha people I love or a book whichever comes first.

Oh look its raining now....
Its times like now that I am glad to be working.

I Am The Terror That Flaps In the Night

IiI have been on a purge from black. Well I have been trying to get away from wearing that color. Its actually quite difficult when your whole wardrobe consists of blacks and grays and any other dark color (eg. navy blue).

My first step was purchasing tshirts in the brightest colors I could tolerate (highlighter pink, bright burnt orange, and blue striped with one hot green stripe). Started out with a bang dont ya think lol. I had some doubt in my choices because they were waay out of my comfort zone. But as soon as I got a day off I test drove the newness.

I guess they didnt kill me because here I sit but it was weird. I like them though. It motivated me to get a pink case for my fone and multicolored bobby pins.

Off to a good start I have to say. Lets jus hope I dont relapse to those dark clothes lol.
